Make a sugar solution of water and half a cup of sugar and put the roundly sliced lemons to boil until softened. Remove and let them drain well. Meanwhile, beat the eggs with the sugar until whitening and add the milk with vanilla and lemon rinds.
Gradually mix the sifted flour and baking powder together. Beat well and pour the mixture into a greased and lightly floured pie mold with removable walls. Add 7 tablespoons of sugar to it and put it in the oven until caramelized.
Pour caramel on the walls of the form and arrange lemons on the bottom and sides. Pour in the pie batter and bake the lemon pie in a moderately heated oven until ready.
The finished pie is cooled before removing from the form and served upside down.
