How to make
Make a moderately stiff dough from these products. Knead well until it becomes shiny, elastic and does not stick to your hand. Make 2 balls from the dough, sprinkle with flour, cover with a warm pot and leave it to rest for 15 minutes.
Put 1 ball on a wet cloth, smear with melted lard and roll it out. Stretch the dough with your hands into a sheet, cut the thick edges off, leave it to rest a little, top with melted lard, put the filling on and using the towel, roll up the dough and place it on the greased tray.
Spread the surface with a beaten egg and bake. Make the second strudel in the same way. Use a sweet or salty stuffing.
A cherry stuffing can be made from breadcrumbs, walnuts, sugar, cherries. Instead of cherries you can use other fruits - such as apples.
