How to make
Cut the onion into small pieces and fry it in a deep pan for a short time.
Add the chopped potatoes and carrots and mix everything well. Add the finely chopped garlic, tomato puree and paprika.
If you do not have tomato paste and have tomato puree instead - first add the garlic, then the washed and strained lentils.
Fry them briefly, by stirring them and adding paprika.
When lightly fried, add the tomato puree. Then add warm water and cook the lentil soup.
When it is ready, blend it well with a blender and place it back onto the stove.
Season the Turkish soup with salt, black pepper and dried mint and leave it on the stove for a few more minutes.
On another heated hob, pour some fat in a pan and fry the paprika for a very short time and remove it from the heat.
Serve the Turkish red lentil cream soup hot and serve it with the paprika mixture on top.
