  • red lentils - 1 glass of water (about 250 g)

  • flour - 1 tbsp.
  • tomato puree - 4 tbsp.

How to make

The finely chopped onions are fried in fat in a pot. Add the carrots and potatoes and stir for a few minutes. Then add the well-washed lentils.

Pour hot water into the pot, no more than two or three fingers above the vegetables. Season with dried mint. Boil it for about 20-25 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the tomato sauce. Pour the fat in a pan for it, add the flour and fry it lightly. Then add the paprika, tomato puree and a little water. Stir well and pull the sauce aside.

Blend the finished soup with a liquidizer and season it with salt and black pepper. Add the tomato sauce to the soup and stir it on the stove for about two minutes.

The lentil soup is ready. You can serve it with lemon, parsley, but the best option is with heated oil with paprika.
