How to make
Heat 1 and 1/4 cups (250 ml) of white wine with 1/2 cup (100 ml) of water, sugar, lemon peel and cinnamon stick.
All this is boiled/steamed for 10 minutes at a temperature of about 210°F (100 degrees).
Pour the hot mixture into a big jug with a capacity of 2.5 liters and leave it to cool.
Squeeze whole lemons in the sparkling water. The resulting sparkling lemonade is poured into the jug with the sweet aromatic liquid and the remaining 3 3/4 cups (750 ml) of cold wine is added.
The apple and other fruit of your choice are cut into pieces and added into the jug along with the ice. Everything is mixed very well.
The Madrid-Style Lemonade is served straight away, in order for it to be a fresh and fragrant.
Cheers!
