"When you really love moussaka but can`t resist sauerkraut either, make an aromatic moussaka with sauerkraut."

Ingredients

  • cabbages - 1 sauerkraut, medium
  • oil - ¾ cup
  • cabbage juice
  • rice - ½ cup
  • cheese - 3 tablespoons grated, or use feta cheese
  • parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • black pepper - crushed, to taste
  • salt
  • milk - 1 ½ cup
  • eggs - 3

How to make

Chop the cabbage and sauté it until soft in a little oil with cabbage juice. Separately, boil the rice in 1 1/2 cups of salted water.

Mix the boiled rice with cheese with crushed parsley and black pepper to taste. Spread half the cabbage in a greased tray, put rice on top and then place the second cabbage half.

Add milk and beaten eggs to the moussaka. Bake in a heated oven until browned.
