"A few cloves of garlic a day keep the doctor away from me - marinate it so you always have it on hand"

Ingredients

  • for 1 jar of 800 ml
  • garlic - about 16 heads
  • vinegar - 2/3 of the jar (about 200 ml)
  • salt - 2 tsp.
  • sugar - 2 tbsp.
  • aspirin - 1 tablet
measures

How to make

Place the salt and sugar on the bottom of the jar.

The garlic is cleaned, washed and put in boiling water to blanch for about 5 minutes. It is then cooled under running cold water.

If desired, it is separated into cloves or can even be completely cleaned from the scales.

Fill the jars with garlic, pour the vinegar to 2/3 of the jar, add the crushed aspirin and add hot water.

The jars are closed with warm lids. Turn the jars several times a day for 3-4 days. After that the garlic is ready for consumption.

If they are for winter, the jars are stored in a cool place.

This can be made in the spring when there is quality fresh garlic. It can be made in the winter quickly for 4-5 days and consumed immediately.
