Ingredients

  • mince - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • onions - 1 head
  • carrots - 1 - 2
  • peppers - 2
  • eggs - 3
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • paprika
  • cumin - to taste
  • curry - a small amount, to taste
  • oil - 2 - 3 tablespoons
  • vegetables - potatoes and beetroot, for the garnish

How to make

Chop the onions, carrots and peppers very finely and mix them with the minced meat. Add 3 eggs and knead again with your hands. Season the mixture with all the spices and spread it in a well-greased cake form.

Put the minced meat and vegetables loaf to bake in a heated 390°F (200 °C) oven for about 40 minutes or until ready. If necessary, adjust the oven temperature.

While it bakes, boil the potatoes and make a potato salad, also add in a head of grated red beets. Serve this meatloaf with the garnish, and put 3 pieces of meatloaf in each portion.
