How to make
Sift the flour with the baking powder and add the vanilla sugar, then add the pumpkin puree, butter or oil, grated orange zest and finally, orange dye. Knead a medium dense, slightly sticky dough. Grease your palms and shape it into balls the size of a walnut.
Arrange them on a tray, laid out with baking paper. On each ball, put one pumpkin seed. Put the pumpkin cookies in a preheated 360°F (180°C) oven.
First bake on the lower element, and then on the upper.
