measures

How to make

Put ice (about 150 g) in a jug with a capacity of 1.5 liters. Cut the fruit and place them inside. I added these, because I had them, but it would be good if others were included, such as apple, grapes, orange.

Sprinkle with sugar and pour the rum, brandy and soda. Pour the wine and place a spoon with a long handle in the jug, which sticks out by at least 1.6″ (4 cm). The spoon for the original Sangria must be wooden.

Stir the Sangria with it several times before serving it.

*You can add as much rum and brandy as you like, depending on how strong you want the drink to be.

The sugar could also be increased or decreased. The Spaniards never skip adding it, but I will admit that I sometimes do, especially if I did not use soda, but a tonic or sprite.

I also use a little trick - instead of adding normal plain ice, I use silicone cubes or at least it looks like that - they are filled with water and as soon as they are taken out of the freezer, they are placed directly in the drink.

This way, the drink does not dilute, but at the same time it is well chilled for a long time. Of course, if the drink is strong, sometimes it is best to have plain ice to dilute it.

Enjoy this wonderful and charming summer drink.
