Ingredients

  • cauliflower - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • hot pepper flakes - 1 tsp.
  • breadcrumbs - for rolling
  • oil - for frying
  • salt
  • For the yogurt sauce
  • yogurt - 4 tbsp. with a tip
  • sour cream - 1 tbsp. with a tip
  • garlic - 1 clove
  • salt - by taste
  • dried dill - 1 tbsp.
  • dried parsley - 1 tbsp.
  • lemon juice - 2 - 3 tbsp. (freshly squeezed)

How to make

The cauliflower is washed well under running water and it is chopped into small pieces.

In a convenient pot, boil plenty of water with a little salt and put the cauliflower pieces in it. Boil for 10 minutes and strain the water and pour cold water over them, in order to stop the cooking process.

They are placed onto kitchen paper, so that it can absorb excess moisture. In a bowl, beat the eggs with a little salt. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with more salt and the hot pepper flakes.

Fry the cauliflower in heated oil over medium heat, by first dipping them generously in the egg and then rolling the pieces it in the breadcrumbs. Once they aquire a golden color, take them out and place them on a layer of kitchen paper.

The sauce is prepared by mixing and beating all of the products for it well (the garlic - grated or pressed). It is placed in the center of a wide serving platter and the golden cauliflower pieces are arranged around it.

They are tasty and crunchy both warm and at room temperature. Enjoy your meal.
