"The Indian Masala Tea is an interesting and quite an unique drink"

Ingredients

  • grated ginger root - 1 tsp (5 g)
  • black tea - 1 full tbsp. (dried leaves)
  • water - 3 cups (700 ml)
  • cloves - 4 pcs.
  • milk - 2 cups (500 ml)
  • star anise - 1 pc.
  • black pepper - 5 grains
  • cinnamon - 1 stick
  • sweetener - sugar, agave or stevia
  • cardamom - 2 - 3 pods

How to make

In a mortar, crush the cardamom with the black pepper and cloves.

Separately grind the cinnamon along with the ginger root.

Mix all of the spices and pour the milk and water over them.

Finally, add the black tea and star anise to the aromatic mixture. Add a sweetener of your choice.

Boil the tea for about 10 minutes. Then strain it, pour into suitable cups and serve it immediately.
