Ingredients

  • soft butter - 4.4 oz (125 g)
  • powdered sugar - 3/4 cup
  • eggs - 3 pcs.
  • flour - 1 cup
  • baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • lemon peel - from 1 lemon
  • vanilla - 1 sachet (2 g)
  • fresh morello cherries - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • crystal sugar - 3 tbsp.

How to make

In a bowl, beat the soft butter and sugar with a mixer. Add the eggs and then the sifted flour along with the baking powder and lemon peel.

Finally add the vanilla. Grease the baking pan with butter and sprinkle it with a little flour.

Pour the mixture and flatten it well.

Preheat the oven to 360°F (180 degrees).

Wash and dry the morello cherries, then pour them over the mixture.

Distribute them evenly and press them down with your hands. Sprinkle with crystal sugar on top.

Bake the cherry pie for about 30 minutes until it's fully baked.
