How to make
To make the dough, sift 4/5 cup (200 g) of flour, then mix with the salt, sugar, one egg yolk, softened butter and a little water, but do not squish it too much. Make it into a ball and let it stand for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Roll it up and place it in a shallow round baking dish. Pierce the dough with a fork. Bake it in the oven for 10 minutes, set the heat to 460°F (240 °C).
For garnish, mix the remaining flour, two eggs with the sugar, starch and cinnamon and add milk. Remove the pips from the cherries.
Place them on the dough, cover with the garnish on top and bake in the oven at 410°F (210 °C). Sprinkle with vanilla and sprinkle with grated butter. Put back in the oven for the oil to seal it.
The cakes are served cold.
