How to make
For this recipe, it is desirable that the mackerel is fresh, but if you do not have fresh mackerel, it can be frozen.
The mackerel is cleaned from the entrails. The heads are removed and the fish are washed well.
The inside of the fish is filled with sea salt and the outside is almost covered with salt.
That way the fish are left for 24 hours.
The mackerel is then washed from the salt. They're cut into 1.5-2 centimeter thick slices.
The bottom of a container is lined with thinly sliced lemon, a few grains of black pepper, broken pieces of bay leaf and allspice.
Arrange the pieces of fish tightly.
Followed by lemon slices, black pepper, allspice, bay leaf and fish pieces.
This is done until you run out of products. Finish off with the lemon slices.
The fish is drizzled with oil, which is fried in advance and cooled.
It is not necessary for the marinated fish to be covered with oil, but it is desirable to turn the pieces from time to time.
After 12 hours you can enjoy an uniquely delicious salted marinated mackerel.
Enjoy your meal!
