Ingredients

  • mackerel - 6.5 lb (3 kg)
  • sea salt - 2 cups (500 g)
  • oil - 2 cups
  • bay leaf - 2
  • vinegar - 2 cups
  • black pepper - 1 tsp, ground
  • allspice - 4 - 8 grains

How to make

Wash and clean the mackerel. Cut it into pieces.

Salt it and leave for 2-3 hours in the fridge. Then rinse it from the salt.

On the stove, boil water with the salt, oil, vinegar, bay leaf, black pepper and allspice.

Put the fish in and boil 30-40 min. Take the pieces of fish out and arrange in jars.

Close them well.

Store in a cold area.
