Ingredients

  • old bread - 4 slices
  • cooking cream - 6.7 fl oz (200 ml)
  • yogurt - 6.4 oz (180 g)
  • white cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • margarine - 1 oz (30 g)
  • yellow cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)

How to make

Cut the old bread into cubes and arrange them in a greased fireproof tray.

In a suitable bowl, mix the cream and yogurt, then pour the mixture over the bread and leave it like that for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle the bread with cheese and margarine.

Bake the popara in a well-heated oven at 360°F (180°C) for 15 minutes.

Then remove the tray from the oven, grate the cheese on top and place it back into the oven briefly (5 minutes, at 360°F (180°C) to melt the cheese).

Remove the baked popara from the oven and leave it to cool before serving.

The oven-baked popara is very tasty.
