  • onions - 8 onion
  • bacon - 2.1 oz (60 g) (ground)
  • beef - 6 oz (170 g)
  • pork - 3 oz (90 g)
  • dried thyme - 1/4 tsp.
  • dried marjoram - 1/4 tsp.
  • breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp.
  • yellow cheese - 2 tbsp.
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • tomato sauce - 2 cups
  • olive oil
  • parsley
  • black pepper

How to make

Cut off the tops of the onions and carefully remove part of their inside. Stew the onions in a little salted water, strain and set them aside.

Finely chop the onion with oil. Add the minced meat and bacon, the spices and continue to cook them until the meat aquires a brown color.

Mix the breadcrumbs with the yellow cheese and the egg, season them with as much salt and black pepper as you like and add them to the meat.

Preheat the oven to 390°F (200 degrees). Fill the onions with the meat and bake them in a greased baking pan for about 40-50 minutes. Serve them with tomato sauce.
