"Fantastic recipe for Greek Shrimp Saganaki! Great with white wine or Ouzo!"

Ingredients

  • shrimp - 10.5 oz (300 g), shelled and blanched
  • feta cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • onions - 1/2 pc
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • tomatoes - 7 oz (200 g)
  • tomato juice - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • oregano - pinches
  • white wine - 1 cup
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • chilli powder

How to make

Saute the finely chopped onion in a pot with a drizzle of olive oil, on low heat. Add the garlic cloves whole.

Once they soften, add the shrimp, salt, freshly ground black pepper, chilli pepper and cook for a few minutes, until the juices of the shrimp evaporate. Remove the garlic.

Pour in the white wine and once it evaporates, add the tomatoes, tomato juice and oregano. Simmer for around 10 minutes. Sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese and serve.
