"You can quickly, easily and very deliciously prepare your favorite shrimps in tomato sauce - the perfect taste of Greek cuisine"

Ingredients

  • shrimp - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • onion - 1 onion
  • garlic - 3 - 4 cloves
  • olive oil - 3 - 4 tbsp.
  • tomatoes - 2 large or 4 medium - sized
  • basil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • white wine - 1 cup
  • cayenne pepper - 1 tsp.
  • dry oregano
  • thyme
  • sugar - 1 pinch
  • white cheese - 50 g
measures

How to make

In a heated pan with olive oil, put the cleaned shrimp and cook for two minutes. Remove them from the pan.

In the pan, first put the peeled and finely chopped garlic, then the finely chopped onion.

Finely chop the tomatoes and add them into the pan. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, pinch of sugar, dried oregano and thyme.

When the liquid from the tomatoes boils for about 3-4 minutes, add the wine. Leave the wine on the stove to reduce. It needs to evaporate a little (3-4 min.).

Then add the shrimp, stir, add a little more olive oil, sprinkle with crumbled cheese and basil. Serve hot.

Enjoy!

The greek-style shrimp with tomato sauce is ready.
