How to make
Put the sugar and water in a large pot on the stove. Allow it to boil until you get a thick syrup.
In the meantime, wash, peel and remove the seeds from the apples. Cut them into small pieces and add them to the almost finished syrup along with the vanilla.
Boil until the apples become soft and the syrup thickens. Lastly, add the citric acid. Fill jars with the finished jam while still hot, cap them, and immediately flip them upside down.
Optionally, you can sterilize them for 5 minutes.
