Ingredients

  • apricots - 5.5 lb (2.5 kg)
  • sugar - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • cinnamon - 1 stick
  • walnuts - 1 cup, cut
  • citric acid - 1 tsp

How to make

Choose ripe but healthy apricots that are soft, but not too much. Halve them, remove their pits and cut each half into 2. Put the fruits in a tray and mix with the sugar. Leave them to stand for several hours.

Put them to bake in a moderate oven, stirring periodically. Bake the walnuts in a dry pan. Once the jam has thickened, remove it from the oven and mix it with the citric acid and walnuts.

Pour it into jars and turn with the caps down without sterilizing.
