"The tastiest Turkish Delight Sweets are made with beer, powdered sugar and a pinch of love."

Ingredients

  • fat - about 1 1/2 cups melted lard or oil
  • beer - 1/2 cup
  • baking soda - 1 tsp, or use baking powder
  • vanilla - 2 packets
  • flour - 2 - 3 cups, for a very soft dough
  • turkish delight
  • walnuts - whole
  • powdered sugar - 1 1/5 cups (300 g) for rolling + some sugar for the dough, if desired

How to make

From all the products, knead a soft dough and if desired, add a little sugar to the dough. Roll out into a sheet and cut out the desired shapes or tear and form small balls from it.

In the center of each, put a piece of Turkish delight and cover it with the dough.

You can also put walnuts in with the Turkish delight. Arrange the sweets in a baking dish and put it to bake in a heated 390°F (200 °C) oven until pinking.

Roll the still hot Turkish delight sweets in powdered sugar.
