How to make

Clean the walnuts from the shells and grind them finely on a nut grinder. Sift exactly 2 1/2 cups of the flour into a bowl, no more, because we won't be able to fit it in. They have been tried and tested several times and I think that 2 and 1/2 cups is quite enough.

Add the cocoa to the flour and sift them together. Also, add 1 tsp of baking powder and stir.

In a separate bowl, beat with a fork, 3 large eggs and the sugar. Then add the oil and mix very well once again, but do not use a mixer. I used light cocoa because I didn't want them to be dark in color and strong in taste. I wanted to be able to taste the walnuts as well.

Finally, add the salt, vanilla and walnuts, which you have grinded. Knead the dough. Cover the ball of dough with foil and leave it in a cool place (in the refrigerator) for 1-1.15 hours so that it sets and we can form small balls out of it.

Once the dough has set, you can form 30 balls from it. Put the powdered sugar in a shallow plate and roll them in it one by one. Arrange each ball at a distance from another in a tray lined with baking paper. When they're being baked, they will rise up and crinkle a little.

Bake at 360°F (180 degrees) in a preheated oven for exactly 10 minutes. When you take them out, once the 10 minutes are up, they will be soft, but then they slightly harden, so the baking time is enough.

Enjoy! We normally eat the baked crinkle cookies with coffee or something else.

They have an amazing walnut and cocoa taste.
