"Today we`re going to be teaching you how to make Lavash Bread."

Ingredients

  • flour - 1 4/5 cups (450 g)
  • corn flour - 2 1/3 tbsp (35 g)
  • yeast - 2 tsp, dry
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • oil - 2 tbsp
  • water - 1 cup (250 ml) warm
  • eggs - 1 yolk

How to make

Knead a dough from half the flour, the sugar, salt, yeast and the corn flour. Sift the remaining flour in and knead the dough until elastic and finally add the oil.

Cover the dough with a towel and leave it in a warm place until doubled in volume. Make 1 large, or 2 medium pitas from the dough, and if desired, make lines along the length. Cover the pitas again and leave them for another 30 minutes.

Beat the egg yolk with 2 tablespoons water or oil and smear it on the lavash. Preheat the oven to 410°F (210 °C) and bake the bread for about 20 minutes until golden.
