How to make
In a bowl sift the flour, salt and baking powder, then add the sugar.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg, add the olive oil and milk.
Add the flour to the liquid mixture, for the American pancakes, in small portions and mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Bake the perfect pancakes in a non-stick pan (no fat is added to get a smooth effect) at medium temperature.
The perfect American pancakes do not cover the whole pan. Make them small and as soon as bubbles appear, they're ready to turn.
