"A wondrous raw pickle with the only downside being that you have to wait at least 10 days before it`s finally ready."

Ingredients

  • green tomatoes
  • carrots
  • cauliflowers
  • cucumbers
  • garlic - peeled cloves
  • chili peppers - optional
  • for the brine
  • water - 1 gal (4 liters)
  • salt - 1 cup (250 g)
  • vinegar - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • sugar - 1 tablespoon, optional

How to make

Arrange the vegetables in two jars of 12 1/2 cups (3 liters). The measures given are for 2 jars of 12 1/2 cups (3 liters).

Boil the brine and once cool, pour it on the vegetables. Decant the pickled vegetables for 10 days. If you want them to have a sweet taste, put sugar in.
