How to make
Separate the egg whites from the yolks into 2 separate bowls. Pour 3/4 cup of the sugar in 1 of the bowls and as much in the other bowl (for a total of 1 1/2 cups). Beat the egg whites until you get a thick cream.
Then beat the yolks. Mix everything together in 1 bowl and stir with a wooden spoon. Sift 1 cup of flour through a sieve and mix. Add 2 tsp water and the same amount of oil.
After each cup of flour, pour in water and oil, in 3 lots. Finally, stir it well. Pour the mixture into a baking tin, but leave a little in the bowl.
Add the cocoa and mix. Mix everything once more and put it to bake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180 °C) until it rises.
