"Have a taste of this unique Syrupy Phyllo Pastry with Turkish Delight and Eggs"

Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry - 1 pack, 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • turkish delight - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • eggs - 4
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • oil - 1/2 cup
  • baking powder - 2 tsp (10 g)
  • flour - 1/2 cup
  • vanilla powder - 1/2 tsp
  • for the syrup
  • water - 2 cups
  • sugar - 2 cups

How to make

Take 2 phyllo pastry sheets, put them on top of each other. At one end, put 3 stretched Turkish delight cubes widthwise. Roll up the sheets once.

Along their whole width, put stuffing with a spoon, made from the pre-beaten eggs, sugar, oil and flour with baking powder and vanilla. Roll up the phyllo pastry sheets and arrange them in an oiled tray.

Repeat this procedure with the other sheets. Sprinkle with oil and bake.

Once cool, pour on a hot syrup made from the water and sugar. Cover with a towel to smother.
