"Today we`re trying out sweet phyllo pastries, such as this Phyllo Pastry with Turkish Delight and Vanilla."

Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry - 1 package, ready - made
  • turkish delight - 2 packs
  • yoghurt - 1 cup
  • eggs - 2
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • for the topping
  • water - 4 cups
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • vanilla - 2 packets

How to make

Whisk the eggs and sugar in a bowl, then add the yoghurt and baking powder.

Shape the Turkish delight into strips and put them atop 2 phyllo pastry sheets along with some of the mixture. Wrap into a roll.

Arrange in a rectangular tray and pierce each phyllo pastry sheet with a fork. Bake the phyllo pastry with Turkish delight in a 320°F (160°C) oven for 40 min.

Once it is baked, remove it and wait a little for it to cool. Then, make the topping (bring the ingredients for it to a boil and let boil briefly) and pour it atop the cooled phyllo pastry.
