How to make
Clean the chickpeas and soak them in water for 24 hours until they are swollen double. Transfer to a baking dish and spread it out, cover with a cloth and leave to germinate for 2 days. Be sure to rinse it with water and drain it thoroughly in the morning and evening.
Blanch the germinated chickpeas with boiling water. Leave for 2 minutes and drain. You can skip the germinating process and just pour it into boiling water and let boil for about an hour and a half.
Pour all of the ingredients, excluding the paprika and spices of your choice, into a blender. Blend to homogeneity, and then flavour it.
