  • for the mince
  • mince - 21 oz (600 g)
  • carrots - 1 small
  • pickles - 2 small
  • onion - 1/2 head
  • eggs - 1
  • salt
  • black pepper

  • tomato paste - 5 tbsp
  • garlic - 3 cloves

  • oregano
  • for the mashed potatoes
  • boiled potatoes - 21 oz (600 g)
  • butter - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • cheese - grated, optional

How to make

Finely chop or grate the carrots and the pickles. Knead them with the minced meat with the spices and egg. Leave the meat for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Spread the mincemeat on a greased oven dish and put it to bake for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, fry the chopped garlic in a little oil in a pan, and add the tomato paste, diluted in a little water. Flavor with spices.

Pour the sauce over the minced meat and return it to the oven for another 5 minutes. Mash the potatoes into puree, flavoring it with the salt and melted butter.

Optionally, you can add grated cheese to the puree. Spread it in the tray and make waves with a fork on top.

Put it back in the oven to bake until the potatoes acquire a brownish color on top.
