How to make
The finely chopped onion and garlic are sautéed with olive oil and a few tablespoons of water until tender. Add the minced meat, stir until it turns to crumbs.
Add the vegetables, tomato juice, sliced mushrooms and stir. Leave on low heat for 20 minutes, then transfer to a baking dish.
Add the spices. The potatoes are peeled, cut and boiled in salted water.
Drain and add to the butter, milk and cheese. Smash it while still warm.
The resulting paste is spread evenly over the mince with vegetables.
Bake the pie at 390°F (200°C) for 40-50 minutes until the top is golden brown.
