How to make
Put 1 cup (250 ml) milk to boil. Remove from the heat and flavor with 2-3 spoons of vanilla. In a small saucepan, melt 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g) of butter and add the flour. Mix everything with the warm milk. Return the pan to the heat and stir until thickened.
Remove the pan from the heat and once cooled, add the egg yolks in one by one, then sugar and a pinch of salt. Beat the whites to snow with a pinch of salt and add them to the cream gently.
Grease a cake form and bake for 30-35 minutes in a moderate oven. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Optionally, you can pour on sugar syrup.
