  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • sugar - 4.2 oz (120 g)
  • vanilla - 1 sachet (2 g)

How to make

Zavarnoy Krem is a variety of the well-known egg custard. Perhaps one of the few differences is the addition of more oil.

It is a great dessert or ingredient and filling for cakes, piroshki and other pastries. Zavarnoy is also the most commonly used cream for the famous Napoleon cake.

Prepare it easily and quickly at home by heating the milk and sugar over moderate heat.

Beat the eggs with the flour and pour in the milk, by reducing the heat to a minimum.

Stir well and increase the temperature a little, in order for the cream to boil and thicken - about 5-8 minutes, while stirring constantly.

At the end, add the butter and beat well.

The Zavarnoy Krem is ready and can be poured into cups, where it will set and it is garnished with fruit, cookies or chocolate.

If it is to be used to fill a Napoleon cake or other pastry, it must be left to cool. To do this, transfer it into another container and cover it with cling film, so that it does not form a crust.
