Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry - 1 package
  • spinach - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • eggs - 4
  • feta cheese - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • oil - 2 tablespoons
  • butter - 1 package melted
  • milk - 4/5 cup (200 ml)
  • sesame seeds - optional for sprinkling

How to make

Clean, wash and finely chop the spinach.

Heat the oil in a saucepan and put the spinach in it for 2 minutes while stirring. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. To the spinach, add the beaten 3 eggs and crumbled feta cheese. Stir well.

Grease the tray in which you intend to bake the phyllo pastry. Take a phyllo pastry sheet, fold it in two, brush it lightly with melted butter and spread the filling on. Roll it up and place it along the edges of the tray. Arrange the rest of the phyllo pastry rolls from the edges going inward toward the center.

Beat the 4th egg with 4/5 cup (200 ml) of water or milk and pour over the phyllo pastry. Optionally, sprinkle some sesame seeds. Put to bake in a preheated oven at moderate temperature until ready.
