  • eggs - 2 - 4
  • powdered sugar - 1 cup
  • milk - 1 cup, or use water
  • oil - 3/4 cup, or 1/2 cup (120 g) butter
  • flour - 2 cups, sifted (to get a fluffy dough)
  • baking powder - 1
  • pears - 2 - 3
  • vanilla

How to make

Separate the yolks from the whites. Beat the yolks with sugar well. Gradually add the oil, milk and flour, sifted with baking powder and vanilla.

Pour the mixture into a greased and sprinkled with flour oven dish. Bake till it turns rosy.

Remove the cake from the oven and cover with tightly arranged sliced pears. On top of the pears, spread the beaten 4-5 tablespoons sugar and egg whites.

Put the cake in the oven in order for the whites to dry and become a meringue.
