Wild Blackberries

As with most fruits, wild blackberries are incredibly healthy and find wide use in the kitchen. Here are just a few ideas on how to prepare them.

Yoghurt with Wild Blackberries

Ingredients: 1 cup yoghurt, 1 cup wild blackberries, 2/5 cup no-salt-added cottage cheese, 3 1/3 tbsp sugar, several almonds.

Preparation: Combine all of the products, except the blackberries, in order to get a nice fruity dessert, then finally add the well-washed blackberries on top.

Wild Blackberry Cocktail

Ingredients: 2 cups wild blackberries, juice of 1/2 a lemon, 3 tbsp sugar, 1 cup tonic.

Preparation: Wash the blackberries and drain them well. Put them in a cocktail glass and add the sugar and lemon juice to them. Finally add the tonic as well. If you don't have tonic you can use plain sparkling water.

Milk and Wild Blackberry Drink

Ingredients: 2 cups wild blackberries, 3 1/3 tbsp powdered sugar, 4 tbsp milk, 1 sparkling water.

Preparation: Wash the blackberries and squeeze out the juice in a pitcher. Add the remaining ingredients and pour the juice into several glasses (you can add ice).

Quick Dessert with Wild Blackberries

Blackberries

Ingredients: 2 cups wild blackberries, 1 1/5 cups breadcrumbs, 2/5 cup sugar, 2/3 cup butter, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 3 1/3 tbsp powdered sugar, 2 tbsp ground walnuts.

Preparation: Braise half the sugar along with the butter while stirring constantly. Sprinkle the blackberries with the remaining sugar, add 1 cup water and heat the mixture slowly. Combine the 2 mixtures, put them in the container you intend to serve the dessert in and cool for about 2 hours in the refrigerator. Once the time has elapsed, pour the powdered sugar, lemon juice and walnuts on top of everything.

Cream with Wild Blackberries and Eggs

Ingredients: 1 cup wild blackberries, 3 eggs, 2/3 cup sugar, 1 pinch of salt.

Preparation: Pour some of the sugar over the blackberries and leave them on low heat for several minutes. Then add the remaining sugar and egg yolks. Boil everything on low heat until the result is a thick cream. Finally, beat the egg whites with the salt and add them to the cream which will be fully ready in several minutes.
