Light desserts

After the hearty holiday meals and local winter delicacies, you probably don't have room for something sweet and tasty after the main course. A light and gentle dessert however is a real treat for the soul, that's why we will offer you a few recipes for light sweets, appropriate for the winter months, which will not upset your already overburdened stomach.

The first one is a pumpkin dessert - a recipe much different than the traditional pumpkin pie, lighter and quicker to make. Here's how you make cream from a pumpkin:

Pumpkin cream with nuts and fruits

Ingredients: 17.5 oz of pumpkin, 1 banana, raisins, 2 pears, 2 tbsp honey (or sugar), 1 cup milk, 2 tbsp vanilla starch, cinnamon to taste, walnuts for sprinkling, vanilla, rum.

Preparation: Boil the pumpkin well, then cool it and put it in a blender with the rest of the fruits, excluding the raisins. Blend. In a separate container, whisk the warm milk with the honey and vanilla. Add the starch to this mix as well, then pour it over the fruit puree.

Pumpkin cream

Stir everything, then distribute into bowls. Place chopped walnuts on top of the cream and the raisins that have been soaked in rum. If desired, sprinkle a little cinnamon.

The next proposal might seem a little unusual since it contains canned pineapple. A very juicy and delicious dessert, to which you can add nuts of your choice alongside the listed products. Our recipe is with hazelnuts and walnuts, but you can always substitute them. Buy a pudding your choice and make it according to package directions - with milk and sugar.

Prepare an appropriate tray and butter biscuits - you can use chocolate ones or any other type you prefer. They shouldn't have holes in them. Dip them for a few seconds in the canned pineapple juice and then arrange them in the tray.

On top you can add a little bit of melted butter. Pour the pudding (to which you have added finely chopped hazelnuts and walnuts) over the biscuits. Then, arrange pieces of pineapple on top. Let the dessert cool completely.

Strained yoghurt

Our next proposal is quite easy to make:

Cream with mascarpone and figs

Ingredients: 1 packet of butter, hazelnuts, biscuits, vanilla, 1 1/5 cups of mascarpone, 1 1/5 cups of strained yoghurt, honey to taste, figs from a jam.

Preparation: First mix the mascarpone and yoghurt, stir well and add honey to taste. Cut up the biscuits and hazelnuts in a blender, then add the butter, that you have melted ahead of time.

Place 2 tablespoons of the biscuit mixture in an appropriate cup, add 2 tablespoons of the dairy cream on top, then pour on the fig syrup from the jam and sprinkle with sliced pieces of the fruit. Begin to arrange biscuits on top again, cream, figs and so on until you fill the cup. It is a good idea to cool the dessert for at least 2 hours.
