Mixed herbs and salt is a traditional Bulgarian spice that is present in their traditions, customs and of course on the table. There is nothing better than warm bread spread with butter and sprinkled with mixed herbs and salt.
The recipes by which it is prepared are different in different parts of the country. There are people who do not sit down without mixed herbs and salt at the table, they use it as a seasoning for almost every dish.
Then put one part of the ground fenugreek, two parts of the other ingredients and salt to your taste. This will give you a delicious mixed herbs and salt that is famous for stimulating digestion.
According to other recipes, grated savory herb is added to the same ingredients. As in some parts of northern Bulgaria, they make the mixed herbs and salt only from savory herb, paprika and fenugreek. In Stara Zagora, ground raw samardala is added to the main ingredients.

In addition to the ingredients mentioned so far, you can also add some of the following spices such as: thyme, dill, dry parsley, basil, cayenne pepper, rosemary, oregano, white pepper, black pepper and others. As we have already said, it all depends on the individual taste of a person.
Mixed herbs and salt is one of the favorite spices of almost every Bulgarian, and there is no house in which it is not present. Added to warm bread with butter, a favorite breakfast or sandwich, hot soup, boiled eggs and any other dishes, it gives a unique taste that brings flavors of Bulgarian traditions.
Due to the old Bulgarian customs, important guests or a newborn are welcomed with mixed herbs and salt, bread and honey, so that their life will be sweet and colorful.
