dried bananas

Bananas are dried easily and this process does not involve the use of chemicals. It is an environmentally friendly product that, even in industrial quantities, is produced without the addition of preservatives and dyes.

How you can dry bananas is quite easy. Bananas are thoroughly inspected and rotten and damaged fruits are removed.

Bananas are peeled and cut lengthwise or into oblong pieces. Whole bananas can also be dried. The fruit, cut into pieces, are placed in trays and dried in an oven.

Bananas are dried at a low temperature, around 30°C, and the process takes over four hours. During this time, they lose about 20 percent of their moisture and their size decreases, but their useful properties are preserved.

The finished product has a rich brown color. After drying, the bananas are cooled and packed in plastic bags and then in a cardboard box. Dried bananas are kept at room temperature for a year.

Banana chips are popular right now. Pour 3 tablespoons of lemon juice into a small bowl. The fruit is cut into small thin circles, no more than one or two centimeters thick.

Line the tray with baking paper and pierce the paper in several places with a fork. Dip each piece in the lemon juice and place them on the baking paper.

Drying the banana chips takes about eight to ten hours at 60°C. Banana chips are stored in airtight boxes or packages.

Dried bananas are a tasty and healthy dessert that will satisfy your hunger. The sugar contained in the fruits is quickly absorbed by the body and gives a person energy.

In the summer, bananas can be cut and dried in the sun, under gauze, which prevents insects from reaching the fruit. Periodically, the bananas are turned and placed in a shade with slight sunlight. They are ready when a white powder forms on their surface - this is the sugar.
