Flaxseed

The flaxseed oil contained in flaxseed has high levels of unsaturated fat. Its levels even reach those of fish. The unique composition of flaxseed makes the product beneficial for the health and a healing human body.

Flaxseed, in addition to cooking, also finds a place in folk medicine. It is used for constipation and chronic colitis due to its laxative effect. For this, 2 tsp. of flaxseed are crushed and poured with a glass of hot water. The resulting drink is drunk 2-3 times a day, 100-150 ml. In case of atony of the intestines, also boil 2 tsp. of flaxseed in 300 ml of water.

Leave it for 10 minutes, stir intensively and filter the liquid. Drink 100 ml of it on an empty stomach. Another anti-constipation remedy is one cup of unstrained flaxseed infusion. Add 1 tsp. per cup of hot water. It is taken daily, until the problem is solved. Decoction of linseed removes all harmful and toxic substances from the body.

Flaxseed is also used for cough, as an expectorant and antitussive. In addition, a number of ingredients fighting against diabetes are found in its composition. The decoction that is prepared includes equal amounts of green bean sprouts, mulberry leaves, oat straw and flaxseed. 3 tbsp. of the mixture are poured with 3 tbsp. of hot water.

The tincture is boiled over low heat, then cooled and filtered. Drink half a glass 3 times a day, until the desired effect is obtained. Bladder inflammations are also treated with the same infusion.

Three types of seeds

The mucilage that is secreted from the flaxseed is the best known remedy for relaxing, softening and alleviating the problems of the gastrointestinal tract. It has an anti-inflammatory effect. Flaxseed powder is used for burns and skin diseases. A gruel of it is used to treat wounds, hemorrhages, etc., and flaxseed, boiled in milk, is applied as a compress to treat cracked heels.

One of the unique properties of flaxseed is its anti-parasitic action. Its decoction kills fungi and hepatitis viruses. If 1-2% of clove flower buds are added to it, roundworms also die. But be careful - flaxseed combined with sugar irreversibly loses its healing properties.

Pain is soothed by placing crushed flaxseed in a gauze bag, which is placed for about 10 minutes in boiling water and then placed on top of it. Neuralgic pains are relieved by placing a few mace leaves on a linen napkin and bandaging the area. A warm towel is tied on top. The sheets are changed every 2-3 hours.

Homemade hair conditioner is also prepared with flaxseed. To do this, crush the flaxseed in a mortar or grind it in a coffee grinder. In a two-liter pot with water, pour 3 tbsp. of it. The water is boiled, the decoction is left to cool and is left overnight. The next day, it is filtered and the already shampooed hair is rinsed with it.

You can make flaxseed flour from flaxseed to include in your pancakes, sponge cakes and cakes.
