Rolling Out Filo Dough

Although, we live in a time, where we can buy everything from the store without having to waste time at home, there is nothing tastier than homemade food.

And it would be nice, if we could at least once or twice a week, find the time to make homemade meals for our family.

And yet, no matter how delicious a homemade dish is, no person would want to spend all day in the kitchen. Therefore, choose recipes, which are delicious, effective and do not waste all of your time with their preparation.

Such dish is lasagna. The preparation of lasagna itself does not take much time, even if you make it with homemade crusts, not store bought ones. Here are some suggestions for homemade lasagna crusts:

Lasagna Crusts I

Necessary products: flour, 5 eggs, salt

Preparation: Knead a hard dough from the listed products and then roll it out into a thin crust. In a suitable cookware, boil 10 cups (2 liters) of water (if desired, you can add some broth) and blanch the crusts for 20-30 seconds. Then take them out and leave them to drain well.

Lasagna Bark II

Necessary products: 4 eggs, flour 0.9 lb (400 g), salt

Method of preparation: Put the eggs one by one in the flour, add a pinch of salt. Knead the dough, until it becomes smooth. You need to knead it for about 15 minutes. After kneading it, wrap it in a towel and leave it for 30 minutes.

For rolling out the dough, you need to sprinkle flour on the worktop, so that the dough won't stick to it. Grab it carefully and start spreading it out first with your hands, then rolling it out with a rolling pin. The goal is to make it very thin. This way, the dough will be suitable not only for lasagna but also for tagliatelle, tortellini, ravioli, cannelloni.

If you want to make lasagna crusts, cut the crust into rectangles or squares - it's a matter of taste. You can boil them for 5 minutes, but when you use the crusts for lasagna, no boiling is required.
