When brewing coffee, the optimal ratio is 1:10 (for 1 part ground coffee to 10 parts water), or in other words 10 g of coffee will be needed for 100 g of water. However, things can vary according to your preferences - some like more coffee, others less.
Step by step when brewing coffee
1. Pour the coffee into a suitable coffee pot and add half the room temperature water.
2. Wait until the coffee stops releasing air bubbles.
3. Add the remaining water into which you have previously diluted the remaining liquid ingredients, such as milk or honey (optional). The liquid level should not be higher than the narrowing of the neck of the pot, otherwise when heated the foam will disperse.
4. Place the pot on the hob at the lowest heat setting. You can hold the pot in your hand over the heated hob.
5. After a minute, stir the contents in the pot so that no lumps remain in the coffee.
Caution! Under no circumstances should coffee start boiling. As soon as the foam begins to rise in the pot (this happens at a temperature of 95-96°C), the brewed coffee should be poured into a preheated cup.
It will take about 2-3 minutes to complete the extraction process and to remove the coffee grain residue.
The brewed coffee is then served at the table.
