When we hear the word lemonade, many of us immediately think of it as the bright yellow sparkling drink that was literally a classic two or three decades ago and was the most common non-alcoholic drink.
No, we're not talking about that one, we're talking about a fresh, non-sparkling and healthy drink made from lemons, sweetener and water.
Making lemonade at home is easy, it doesn't require much time and it is worth the effort. All you need are a few juicy lemons from the market, sugar (brown sugar, honey, stevia) for sweetening and water for dilution.
The citruses are washed thoroughly, because their peel is part of the recipe. Blend the lemons with a blender, add with sugar and a little fresh mint to them, dilute them with water and leave the lemonade in a cool place.
The juice can be strained before serving. If desired, you can replace ordinary water with sparkling water. This is how you make a fresh homemade lemonade with mint!
