Defrosting fish is usually best done by leaving it in the refrigerator or at room temperature. Only this way is guaranteed that the nutrients in it will be preserved as much as possible.
You can try to speed up the defrosting process by placing the fish in a suitable container filled with cold water, to which you can add 1 tbsp. salt or you can squeeze 1-2 lemons.
As a last resort, you can dip the frozen fish in warm water or defrost it in a microwave, but that way you risk it falling apart and changing its taste.
