How to Make Apple Puree for Babies

Nowadays, all kinds of baby purees are available in stores, and mothers do not have to prepare homemade food for the beloved children. But if you have decided to control the preparation of the food to be sure of its quality and ingredients, you can make your own baby purees.

And the most affordable and healthy option is apple puree. Apple puree is a product that is recommended to be included first in the menu of babies (from 4 months). The preparation is very simple, just remember to observe the necessary hygiene.

How to make apple puree for a baby

Sort the apples so that there are neither bruised and injured, nor rotten. The fruits must be perfect and ripe. Peel the sorted apples and cut them into slices, removing the core.

Put the apple slices in a small pot, add water and put on low heat on the stove. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Then you need to blend the apples with a blender and since you are preparing the dish for the smallest member of the family, also pass it through a strainer to exclude any remaining pieces.

The puree is returned to the pot and boiled for another 15 minutes (on low heat). Sterilize the jars in advance by steaming or in the oven, fill them with the hot puree and close them with sterile lids.

Turn the apple puree jars upside down, wrap them in a tea towel, and let them cool completely, then put them away for permanent storage in the basement, cool pantry, or refrigerator.

To make sure, you can sterilize the closed jars with the puree for a few minutes in water, then, as in the above option, turn them over while they are still hot with the lids down and let them cool.

Health of your children and good appetite!
