How Long Does it Take to Defrost Dough?

There are fast methods for defrosting dough and there are those that are slower. And here are they:

Slow ways to defrost:

- in the refrigerator - place the frozen dough, as it is with the package, in the refrigerator. The defrosting time in the refrigerator is between 10 and 12 hours;

- at room temperature - you have to put the dough on a board that is silicone and then cover it with a thin cloth. Defrosting this way takes about 5 hours;

- in warm water - the dough is placed in a plastic bag and placed in a bowl of warm water. The edges of the package should remain outside, the water should not enter the dough. How long the dough will defrost for depends on its size. It usually takes about 2-3 hours.

Quick defrosting of dough:

- In the microwave - if you have a defrost option on your microwave, use it. If not, defrosting is done at 100 watts. The dough is removed from the package and placed in a suitable plate or, if you have one, a defrosting stand. It should be turned from time to time. You should not let the dough get hot. Microwave defrosting time is 20 minutes.

With the defrosted dough, we recommend that you make delicious pizza, apple pie or favorite doughnuts.
