To prepare this delicious and favorite dessert "chocolate covered strawberries" you will need two main ingredients: strawberries and chocolate. Some free time as well.

The strawberries for the dessert must be chosen correctly: they must be fresh (not frozen), whole, not soft and damaged and preferably large. The chocolate must also be of good quality, without additives and fillings, regardless of whether it will be dark, milk or white (a matter of taste). If you are making a white chocolate dessert, you can change the color by adding a pinch of food coloring.

Preparing chocolate covered strawberries is very easy:

Rinse the fruit carefully in cold water. Don't damage them! Remove any dirt very carefully.

Do not tear off the leaves and stalks: with them the finished dish looks more attractive.

Leave the washed fruits on a paper towel and dry. If the strawberries are completely dry, the chocolate will lay down and hold firmly.

To add extra flavor and aroma to the strawberries, after they have been washed and dried, inject some alcohol, rum or cognac, into them by using a medical syringe.

Melt the chocolate, preferably over a water bath. Do not boil it or it will thicken and become bitter. That way you will spoil both the chocolate and the dessert.

You can check the readiness of the chocolate mass, by dipping your finger into it. If the mixture sticks to your finger, the chocolate is ready.

You can dip the strawberries into the chocolate by holding them by the leaves or by inserting a toothpick into them. To prevent them from slipping out, dip the sharp end of a toothpick into the melted chocolate and stick it into the strawberries.

Store the prepared chocolate strawberries in the refrigerator in a covered container. You can place a kitchen towel on the bottom to absorb excess moisture.

- chocolate creams;

- strawberry mousse.
