Kiwi is one of the sweetest fruit. It boasts an enviable amount of vitamins and we must not skip the fact that its vitamin C content is even greater than that of lemons. It is an ideal part of any diet, because it contains a minimum amount of carbohydrates and calories, but on the other hand it does not contain fat. The largest part of the composition of kiwi is water.
When we decide to eat a kiwi, there are many options for peeling it. However, we have two questions:
Which is the easiest option for peeling a kiwi and which one will not waste the product?
One of the options for peeling a kiwi is with a regular knife or with a fruit knife. The procedure is clear - we cut the peel and eat the fruit... or at least what is left of it, because with the knife we risk peeling not only the peel, but also the fleshy part.
Another option is with our well-known peeler, but with it there is a great chance to crush the kiwi and lose the valuable substances it contains.
The third option is one of the better options. For it you will need a spoon, a cutting board and a knife. Cut the kiwi at its two ends - top and bottom. Carefully push the spoon between the fleshy part and the fruit. With movements similar to cutting, do this procedure, until the kiwi is separated from the skin. To get it out, use the spoon.
IMPORTANT - the distance between the skin and the fleshy part must be small in order to keep a larger part of the kiwi that is edible.
The last option may sound a little strange, but it is extremely suitable, especially if you want the fruit salad to contain kiwi. For this you will need a cutting board, a knife and one of the beaters of the mixer. Cut the kiwi into two parts. Insert the mixer beater into the cut half of the fruit and make one rotation with it. Separate the kiwi from the peel. Do the same with the other half. The result is a thin crust and eight lovely pieces of fruit.
